·         Ridership

Average weekday ridership for the month of July 2023 was 114,268, up by 7,725 or 7% from the previous year. Fiscal year-to-date ridership is at 3,158,956, up by 7% from the previous year.

 

Ridership continues to recover in 2023 and is still approximately 37 percent lower than pre-pandemic level.

 

·         On-Time Performance

System-wide on-time performance is at 72.9% for the month of July 2023. Out of 107 total routes, 53 routes exceeded on-time performance of 80% and 1 performed under 50%.

 

The DTS and OTS Service Review Committee reviews service levels, including on-time performance monthly.

 

·         Maintenance

Miles between Mechanical Road Calls have improved for the year, averaging 17,021 miles.

The spare ratio for articulated buses dropped to 75% due to warranty recall issues in the newest fleet.

 

·         Service Modifications

Major service modifications were implemented with the July sign-up to coincide with the opening of rail service and remain in effect until the August sign-up.

 

-       Routes 1L, A, 20, C, 40, and 99 were restructured to connect to rail stations.

-       New routes 46, 461, PH8, 545, and 541 were created to shuttle passengers to rail stations.

-       Route 73 was replaced by routes 531, 532, and 535 which now connect to rail stations.

-       Route 74 was replaced by routes 551 and 552 which now connect to rail stations.

-       Route 71 was replaced by routes 542 and 544 which now connect to rail stations.

 

These service adjustments added approximately 94,000 annualized hours to the service.
